It’s the second day of our annual homecoming week talent show, and expectations were high. After the impressive performances from yesterday, students were eager to see what came next.
Our judges, Mrs. Gemeinhart, Mr. Eygabroad, Mr. Stewert, and Mr. Yousey, scored our contestants exceptionally well today. Starting off strong with Naomi Corbaley’s poem, she amazed the crowd with her deep and thought-provoking words, earning scores of 10, 8.5, 9.67, and 9.1. Next up, Trip Martin and Lexi Lutton performed I Remember Everything by Zach Bryan and Kasey Musgraves, receiving not only high praise but also impressive scores of 9.5, 9.67, 9.9, and 10. After them, Kaili Landes performed Carol of the Bells on her violin, an incredible feat that gave her scores of 10, two 8.8s, and 9.67. Our first teacher performers, Mr. Chalmers, Mr. Valeri, and Mr. Ream, executed a compelling performance of Starting Over by Chris Stapleton, featuring Chalmers on the stand-up Bass, Valeri on the acoustic guitar and vocals, and Ream playing percussion. They scored some of the highest scores so far with 9.5, two 10s, and 10.67. Finally, a once anonymous group performed an interpretive dance in glowstick suits that had the crowd ecstatic. Annika Peterson, Ayden Gasbar, and Emmy VanDenBroek received scores of 9, 9.5, 9.07, and 10.
To see even more impressive acts like the ones that occurred today, be sure to attend school on Thursday!
