It’s easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle of homecoming week, to get overwhelmed by the main events: the dance, the game, and the talent shows. However, CHS has lots of less-known important occasions coming up. Here are some of these events that can be found displayed on posters around the school.
- Financial Aid and Scholarships Night — Wednesday, October 15th, 6:00. Open for parents and students.
- College Fair and Presentation — Open for tenth and eleventh graders on Thursday, October 30th. It takes place in Cashmere High School’s commons from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Attendees will be able to meet recruiters from state and private colleges, as well as technical schools, explore college options, and learn about admissions, scholarships, and career paths. Remember that there is no school on October 30th because it is parent-teacher conference day. You can sign up by scanning the QR code that is on the posters around the school. Be ready to learn about your future and eat donuts! If you have any questions, contact Ms. Fall or Mrs. Semanko.
- “A Mid Summer Nights Dream” — The fall play is coming up! It will take place at seven PM on Thursday, October 23rd, Friday October 24th, and Saturday October 25th. Tickets for general seating will cost $8 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. The doors open at 6:15 PM.
- Community Service Opportunity: Harvest Festival — Rocky Reach Dam needs help putting on the Harvest Festival! It is on Saturday, October 25th, from 12:00 PM -4:00 PM. You can email them at [email protected] or call Katie at (402) 319-2537.
These are some of the many events that are coming up this school year. To get a more in depth look at them, you can look at the posters that are hanging in the hall or look at the school website.
