For the CHS year 2025-2026, Annie Yousey was hired to take the spot of Susan Gubsch, who taught Spanish for over 20+ years, and is finally retiring.
Mrs. Yousey went to Ellenburg High School, and last year she taught at The American School in London for a couple of years. She has been teaching Spanish for over 20 years
Annie Yousey said, “Was delighted to find out she got hired here as she heard great news about Cashmere from her family and friends.”
She plans on working with Mr. Theiss to plan a program for the Spanish community.
Tyler Theiss quoted about Annie Yousey, “She brings a lot of experience teaching abroad and has a lot of cultural perspective through her time teaching, and she has been really getting after it. She is very self- sufficient, and I think it went really well.”
As Cashmere High School says goodbye to Susan Gubsch’s decades of dedication, the school community looks forward to the fresh energy and passion Annie Yousey brings. One chapter has closed, but the story of Spanish at CHS is far from over.
