On December 10th from 7am to 3pm, state apple judging was held in Wenatchee at the Wenatchee Valley Performing Arts Center (PAC). CHS FFA teams placed 2nd and 5th out of 39 teams. Five students finished top ten in individual, out of 165 competitors.
Mason Roehl, senior, placed 10th, Cooper Smith, sophomore, placed 8th, senior Jacob Holladay placed 4th, junior Abigail Kim placed 3rd, and junior Amelia Flick placed 2nd.
CHS’s 2nd place team consisted of Jacob Holladay, Mason Roehl, Colton Bjorklund, and Zinaee Zaragoza. FFA advisor, Mr. Finch felt that this loss was upsetting, but it will, “push the team to work hard for the spring competition.”
