Rainbow Six Siege, also known as ‘Siege’, was released by Ubisoft Montreal on December 1, 2015. This tactical team-based shooter game features multiple game modes, with the most popular being a 5-on-5 match where two teams take turns between offense and defense. During the defensive round, as a defender, it’s your goal to protect your bombs, and offense, where you try to wipe out the whole team or defuse the bombs to win.
Rainbow Six Siege gained a lot of popularity when streamer “Jynxzi” started live-streaming the game back in 2020. Jynxzi is a very big name streamer who brought a big surge of people to Siege, including myself.
Siege has had many issues with toxicity and cheating, so I knew what I was getting into when first playing. This game was instantly a hit, getting the attention of many streamers who made this fun game spread widely.
After a month of playing consistently and unlocking new operators, I ended up hitting level 50 and unlocking ranks. Ranked was a totally different world, and it made me realize there are levels to this game, and I instantly rage-quit.
This game requires a very good sense of hearing, quick reaction time, and mechanical skills. I’d recommend this game to you if you have all of those, but my overall rating of this game is a 6/10. It’s only fun if you’re good at it, which takes time to learn, so if you are impatient or get mad easily, I wouldn’t recommend Siege for you.
