After over a month of buildup, Cashmere High School’s homecoming dance on Saturday, the 11th, went excellently. The theme of the Dance was “Casino Night,” and the venue was decorated accordingly, almost exclusively with card-themed decorations. Intricate card displays were laid out on lunchroom tables at the entrance of the main dance floor, large cards were displayed on the walls, and the hall leading to the dance had cards taped to a wall with the name of a CHS senior adorning each one.
The dance was held in the CHS commons from 8:00 – 11:00. It featured nonstop dancing and excitement, as several hundred attendees jammed out to nothing but the best recession pop and country hits.
Approximately 400 tickets were sold at the dance, with tickets costing $15, or $10 with an ASB card. This means CHS made at least $4,000 in profit. All earnings went to the ASB fund.
