After an amazing Homecoming week at CHS, the dance lived up to its expectations and filled students’ evenings with fun, jumping, and slowdancing that lasted long into the night. However, with all the laughter and sparkles came lots of new faces. It seemed that there were a number of students from other schools that came to Cashmere’s Homecoming with their dates. According to the school handbook, to bring a visiting student to our dance, guests must get a written admittance pass and attend with a Cashmere student.
Talia Guzman, a sophomore at CHS who brought her boyfriend from Wenatchee High School, said, “I think they simplified it compared to last year. I really just had to go to the office, ask for a guest slip, and then fill it out, hand it back to them, and then he had to bring his ID to the dance.”
The guests must have their pass by 3:30 the day prior to the dance. With a total of 64 students from other schools attending our very own CHS dance, it is clear that it is the most number of guests compared to recent years.
