Spotify Wrapped is the most anticipated release of the holiday season for many music listeners, allowing them the chance to see their year through a different lens: the music they love. Spotify Wrapped is a fun recap of your listening year that Spotify gives, showing what music you’ve listened to, how much you listen to it, your top artists, and other statistics about your listening.
Many people love Spotify Wrapped, sending their results to their friends and comparing their minutes listened with others. Listeners can see how their music and lives changed throughout the year by watching their top artists race to the finish line in a new addition to Spotify Wrapped, showing how their listening tendencies flowed through the months.
The survey was sent out to the entirety of the CHS student body, and we got 78 responses.
Genres

This chart shows the top genres that CHS students listened to, the most popular being indie folk, followed by pop rap and alternative rock.
Minutes Listened

CHS students have listened to music for an impressive amount of time, with 37.2% of responders having listened to over 50,000 minutes, that’s almost 35 days! Very few of the responders listened to under 5,000 minutes.
Artists

This chart shows the most listened to artists among all the responses from Cashmere High School students. While there were many diverse responses (from Billie Eilish to Bob Ross to Fiona Apple), the most prevalent result was Drake.
Listening age

This chart, though hard to read, shows the listening ages of the CHS students who responded to the survey that was sent out. A “listening age” is the age that Spotify estimates you to be based on the music you listen to. The youngest age recorded was 16, and the oldest was 79. The most common age was 28, with a total of ten people getting it, followed by 21, with five people receiving it. 30, 48, and 27 were other noticeably high scorers.
Club

As seen in the chart above, the most common “club” for CHS students was the Soft Hearts Club, followed distantly, in this order, by Cloud State Society, Grit Collective, Club Serotonin, and Full Charge Crew (both tied second to last), with Cosmic Stereo Club bringing up the rear. According to mashable.com, “Your club captures the emotional qualities of your year in music. That includes the moods, genres, and musical terms that defined what you [listened to].”
