While people were enjoying the pioneer-themed festivities of “Apple Days” at the Cashmere Pioneer Village on Saturday, the 4th, the CHS Jazz Band played in the background.
The ensemble of young musicians played a collection of jazz standards, including “Mack the Knife”, “All the Things You Are”, and “Sweet Georgia Brown”. The band played from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm and featured solos from over 10 of its members. The band also featured guest Saxophonist Seth Garrido, who featured extensively over the set.
The jazz band’s performance was very fun for its audience and for them. The band hopes to perform again at Apple Days next year.
