President Rylan Reiber is leading the class of ‘27 through the school year, taking on a bigger role than he had in previous years where he served as a representative for the junior class.
His favorite sport is cross country, especially the aspect of the whole team being involved. Reiber loves to be involved. He is involved as ASB Secretary, Class President, DECA, and is a part of Leadership, Honors Society, and Knowledge Bowl.
Reiber and other students are looking for more involvement from fellow students. Reiber says,“We could always have a little bit more [involvement], but it’s been alright. I’m expecting a lot more involvement.”
Fundraisers are something to look forward to for Reiber, as he is excited for the upcoming PI Day sale in March and the annual outdoor movie nights that the class of ‘27 is planning to put on.
Vice President Cali Diaz is excited to jump into the role of VP. With encouragement from teachers, the idea grew on Diaz that she could become a leader for her class.

Her favorite hobbies include being with friends and activities such as spikeball and wakesurfing. Her favorite sport is volleyball. Diaz states, “My favorite sport is volleyball because of the competitiveness of it and the culture, and I’ve made a lot of friendships through the sport.”
Diaz loves to be a leader. Having past experience in other activities, Diaz is ready to step into this position of leadership. Diaz is glad there are so many people who are ready to follow her into that next turning point in her life. “Getting voted for vice president and being able to lead the volleyball team and just make a positive impact on our community is an honor, ‘cause people look up to me as a role model. It’s an achievement ‘cause they have somebody they can look up to.”
Diaz is excited for this coming year, hoping for more involvement and making sure everyone feels included in what the junior class has to offer. “I definitely think this year is a great year to be involved, especially since it is our last year before our senior year, making everyone feel included and want to help out. I expect positive involvement, also just people who want to be involved in prom and fundraising.”
Secretary Abigail Kim is ready to tackle the new year like never before. Her past experience will lead the junior class to a great school year. Kim has been secretary for her class since her freshman year, and she hopes to carry that tradition on.
Her favorite hobbies include playing the violin and hanging out with family. When asked her favorite sport, Kim says this. “Cross country because of the team. We build relationships, help each other, and run together.”
Kim is involved in many things, and something she is most proud of is winning first place in state for FFA last year. She looks forward to competing more this fall and the upcoming spring season.
The role of secretary always seemed to fit Kim’s style. She states, “The leadership position really appealed to me, I’ve always enjoyed the secretary type roles, I like taking notes, sending out emails, the secretary seemed to fit what I liked to do.”
Kim wants to help with fundraisers for the class, and some of the fundraisers she is looking forward to are basketball concessions and prom to raise enough money to have a great senior trip.
Treasurer Jarred Noyes has been ready for this role his entire life. Being treasurer for the class of ‘27 since freshman year has definitely helped with his leadership skills.

Noyes likes to be in nature and to go hiking with his dad in the mountains close to his house. “It’s just a fun thing we do,” he says.
Noyes is looking forward to lots of involvement from classmates and a high IQ schoolwide so CHS can surpass all the other schools and be the most intelligent school in all of Washington State.
As treasurer, Noyes has a specific role which includes knowing how much money is in the class budget, helping with fundraisers, and helping with what his fellow officers need.
It wasn’t just anything that made Noyes want to become a class officer. Noyes states, “My sister was the president of her class, and she is my parents’ role model for me. I’m trying to bypass their standards and be better than her.”
Noyes is taking on this challenge, getting involved in the community and the class of ‘27, as he expects all students to be as engaged in what the school is doing as he strives to be.
Prom Chair, Georgia Hemmer is ready to conquer this year’s prom and other fundraisers the junior class hope to put on.

Her favorite hobby is singing and she likes to play tennis with her friends, looking forward to playing on the tennis team for the first time this year. When asked about her biggest accomplishment, Hemmer says, “I got third place in the Cashmere Idol last year. I’ve been in varsity plays, where a lot of people don’t get roles.”
Hemmer was excited to be in a leadership position, hoping to make prom more decorative and cute than it has been in past years. Hemmer likes to plan things, and is looking forward to planning this big Cashmere event. Hemmer starts on this project early, stating, “Right now, I am making a lot of business calls to different schools, and finding venues that could possibly host us for prom.”
Hemmer is looking forward to a great school year and can’t wait for prom, hoping it will be epic and will make a lot of money for the class of ‘27.
The class of ‘27 will have a successful school year with this crew of students, each one of them looking forward to what the coming year will bring.
