Mr.Boyd is from Cashmere, WA, and has grown up in Cashmere his whole life. Boyd said, “I grew up here and attended Cashmere School District grades K-12. I graduated from CHS in 2014. After graduating college, I was lucky enough to be hired as a teacher at CMS, and moved to CHS when I had the opportunity.”
What does a typical day look like for Boyd?
“Get ready for work, teach for most of the day, then plan for future days or grade tests or assignments. After school, I coach football,”Boyd said.
What does Boyd like best about his job?
“The connections I’m able to make with students,”he said.
What are Boyd’s hobbies and interests outside of work?
“Fishing, golfing, and camping with my dog,” Boyd said.
Boyd has been on both sides of the coin; he has been a student and a teacher at CHS. When Boyd was asked if any moments or experiences stand out as memorable at Cashmere, he said, “There are a ton. As a student, I had great experiences playing football and basketball. As a teacher/coach, I got to teach and coach with my dad for a couple of years, which was pretty cool.”
What are Boyd’s favorite artists of all time?
“Led Zeppelin, Alice in Chains, and Mac Miller,” he said.
