Watch out for the Cashmere girls as they swim off to compete in districts this weekend.
The swimmers going along are seniors Eliana Thomas and Sophie Mott, along with junior Haile James, and freshmen Jordyn Joseph and Isabel Thomas. They departed from Cashmere High School on Friday morning to head all the way over to WSU in Pullman. They will be competing today and tomorrow from 10:30-1:00 in the Gibb pool.
Though nervous, they’ve been preparing for this all season and are ready to face the competition. “…our coaches do a really good job preparing us, like, we have this set warm up that we do every day to kind of get us in the zone…” said Eliana. Most of the swimmers agree that they’re biggest competition is themselves, and they’re just gonna try to stay focused on themselves and do the best they can.
