CHS students are excited for some time away from school to celebrate family and great food over Thanksgiving break, starting November 26(half day)-28.
When asked what their plans were, here is what they had to say:

CHS Junior Miranda Torres said, “[For Thanksgiving] we play games every year. We play a lot of games, like new trends and decorate a lot. My family is really competitive. We fight a lot over the games and who will win the prize. I’m really grateful for the people I have around and my family.” Torres is excited to get together with her family. She expresses how she wouldn’t change a thing about it.

CHS Senior Alejandro Rojas said, “For Thanksgiving we do a little party with my aunt and cousins. We listen to music, dance, and make a special dinner. We enjoy dancing and eating. One thing I would change is inviting more people. I want to invite my friends so they can see our Colombian Thanksgiving traditions. I’m grateful for my family, my friends, Rafa, and for all the people that helped me be here in America.”

CHS Junior Braden Eversaul said, “My family traditions are spending time with extended family that we usually don’t get to see. I enjoy talking with my family but sometimes things get heated and they start arguing. I’m grateful for family and friends.”

CHS Freshman Annalia Garzon said, “Just the typical Thanksgiving, I just say thank you for the things I’m grateful for.
My family would go around talking about what we were thinking but I would much rather not say what I’m thinking in front of everyone. I’m grateful for my friends and Mariana.”

CHS Freshman Mason Dodrill said, “[For Thanksgiving] we have a bunch of people come over. It can get really chaotic. I don’t like how there are so many people, but I’m grateful for my family and friends.”
