Boys’ swimming started on Monday, November 17th, and is already off to a great start. There wasn’t a big turnout this year for boys’ swimming, so sophomore Bradley Paine will be the sole CHS Bulldog swimmer in the upcoming season.
Commuting to Eastmont every day, Paine looks forward to time in the water after school.
Paine has been swimming since 5th grade, and he has enjoyed it ever since. When asked how he got into swimming, he explained, “My grandpa was a swimmer all throughout his high school career. He went to the Olympic trials. He always told me I should do it, so I did it.”
Paine really enjoys the sport, “It’s one of the only sports I’m good at. I enjoy it a lot, but it’s hard. You learn a lot of things about yourself and how to push yourself.” Paine is looking forward to getting in better shape this season, working hard every day to achieve that goal.
This season, Paine is going to participate in the 100 fly, the 100 free, and he is thinking about doing the 100 breaststroke.
His first meet will be in December, and Paine is ready to jump into the water.
